Robyn Gibson, I grew up in Tasmania, and have lived in Victoria since the mid-1980’s (I moved to Melbourne to study architectural and interior design at RMIT). I discovered printmaking 15 years ago, and for the last 12 years, have been studying and working at Studio Paradiso, Diana Orinda Burns’ printmaking studio in Sandon, Central Victoria.
I’m interested in pattern – especially that of human settlement on, and interaction with, the landscape – and the way in which conditions support certain appearances in the world. The prints that come from these recurring themes feature natural and built landscapes, and explorations of my internal landscape. They inspire me to keep questioning, and to find solace and beauty in the unknown, mysterious nature of life. Contact Robyn Email: robyn[email protected] Mobile: 0408 759 754. |
