James Pasakos, is an artist who features images of
the Melbourne Docklands and Port Philip Bay in his art works. His childhood was largely spent around these areas and these images are reflected within his work. Over the years he has had numerous solo and group exhibitions in Australia. James’ methods at University were in Printmaking. Since then he has explored new mediums and techniques and his work in mixed media developed. At the time these works can be seen as surreal and atmospheric. They are rich in colour and evoke a sense of mystery. They can be quite dark that bring a personal insight of the artist. James’ journey continues into new directions. He explores new themes and mediums. The new works to date are challenging and provoke a deeper inner self of James Pasakos.
