A wonderful exhibition it is. Many attended this exhibition from one of the Goldfields Printmakers dear friend. It was wonderful how Val's family managed to bring together an ecceltic collection of Val's past works. She was prolific and the works on display are brilliant and varied. Many thanks also goes to David Pudney a Goldfield Printmaker whose idea it was to make this exhibition possible. Thanks David.
Deborah Klein, has been a formidable artist for many years exhibiting nationally and internationally. Over many years her core works in Print have reached high levels in the Print landscape in Australia. Congratulations on what maybe seen as a retrospective in Print at TACIT Gallery in Melbourne. Great that you are part of the Goldfields Printmakers as well.
I like to acknowledge Irena Kečkeš who now is in Guam and is the Assistant Professor of Art at University of Guam and promoting Printmaking with this fabulous international Printmaking exhibition that I am a part of and with other fellow Printmakers ... Congrats Irena Kečkeš
I met Irena at IMPACT8 Dundee, Scotland and IMPACT9 in Hangzhou, China.
'Thinking of Place' ToP - Post Office Gallery, Arts Academy-Federation University Australia-Ballarat
ToP was a concept brought forward by Laurel McKenzie from the Inkmasters in Cairns QLD. It originated in Dundee-Scotland (IMPACT8 - Borders & Crossings) as the other key participants and organisers for ToP all met up and connected. This is an international travelling exhibition of works. It has taken a lot of time to organise and from the Goldfields Printmakers we wish to thank Laurel McKenzie from the Inkmasters, Antonietta Covino-Beehre (Melbourne-Printmakers) Prue McDougall (North Island Printmakers-NZ) and Kim Lowe (the Wai Pounamu Printmakers NZ) for making it happen.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
