The portfolio 'Not Born Digital' was displayed at IMPACT9 Hangzhou, China in Sep 2015. The display attracted many delegates from the conference who were engaged by the works. The 'Open Folio' was successful as there were many interested groups, like the Goldfields Printmakers. In future us as a group, wish to collaborate with - many connections were made. The works will travel back to central Victoria for an exhibition tone held at the Ararat Regional Art Gallery from 22 Oct to 06 Dec 2015. Amanda Lawler has an artist residency at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, in Venice for May 2015. She is thoroughly enjoying spending unlimited time printing in this well-equipped studio. However, there is also an endless number of exhibitions to view at the Venice Biennale, which is an exciting distraction.
She is posting about her time in Venice on her Facebook page, facebook.com/amanda.lawler.18, and on Instagram - instagram.com/amanda_lawler 1st photo - Friday night band and drinks, Cannaregio. Not far from the studio. 2nd photo I run over this bridge and down to Salute most mornings - it must be one of the most scenic running tracks in the world |
