Well I attended the PCA meeting at the Firestation on Saturday 12 May and it was an excellent day with lots of discussion taking place. There was a mention of the Goldfields Printmakers and what could become of it etc.
Very supportive indeed.
Well just before that day I arranged a meeting with another Goldfields Printmaker - Anne Langdon and Anne proposed a Postcard Print Exchange (more to come on this) but it will be the first initial project that we as a group can participate in and contribute. As well there was discussion that we should all meet somewhere in between, perhaps later in the year, late Sep or early Oct for a coffee and cake. The idea is we can meet and discuss future endeavours. Your thoughts here would be appreciated. I have also discussed with Shelley Hinton the gallery curator / manager of the Post Office Gallery at the Arts Academy here at UB of a possible Goldfields Printmakers show early 2014 (2013 is all booked) your thoughts here as well, thanks. Will need to prepare and submit a proposal soon.
